Preeti Dhillon
Preeti is a passionate artist who was born in India and made Canada her home. She has completed her BFA from India and here in Canada she did a program in Digital Art from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. She started her career teaching Art at Neighborhood Art Studios and ended up owning their White Rock Location. She now successfully runs Neighborhood Art Studios which offers Art classes in various School Districts in the lower mainland. In addition to teaching art classes in schools, she conducts paint parties and also helps teenagers preparing their portfolios.
Preeti makes custom commission artwork for residential and commercial buildings. Preeti feels grateful that her creativity can help support important causes in the community by donating her artwork at Charity events. Her paintings are mainly done in Acrylic Paints and a variety of Acrylic mediums and her paintings has a bold and Vibrant use of color and texture. Her paintings are inspired by nature, her students and emotions. Preeti feels that her bold use of colour represents her culture. She mainly paints abstracts, surrendering in the process and let one brush stroke lead to the next one. Each painting is a journey combined with curiosity and play that leads to the final art piece.
